The T17 Hex Socket Bugle Head Screw 14-10×50-150 CL3 is a specialized heavy-duty fastener for outdoor timber structures. Manufactured from a hardened carbon steel substrate with a CL3 zinc-tin anti-corrosion coating, it features a 6.3mm shank diameter with coarse threads, a bugle countersunk head with hex socket drive, and a T17 grooved drill point. With lengths ranging from 50 to 150mm, it secures various solid woods and pressure-treated timbers without pre-drilling, effectively balancing structural strength and outdoor corrosion resistance.
Product Applications
Outdoor preservative-treated wood landscaping: Decking, boardwalks, fences, pavilions, trellises, and other structures built with pressure-treated timber, suitable for moderately corrosive inland rainy garden environments.
Building roofing timber structures: Fixing load-bearing wooden components such as purlins, roof trusses, timber joists, and exterior wood sheathing.
Heavy solid wood frameworks: Solid wood main beams, multi-layer timber splicing, large wooden platforms, and other high-load carpentry projects.
Panel composite assembly: Connecting solid wood panels, wood base layers, and thin steel plates in composite structures, as well as large-scale indoor commercial wood installations.
Note: Not recommended for coastal high-salt-spray environments or pool areas with high chlorine corrosion. For such aggressive conditions, CL4-coated or stainless steel screws are advised.
