Hex Head Self-Tapping Screws

Hex head self-tapping screws are universal fasteners categorized as externally driven self-tapping screws. They consist of an integrated unit featuring an external hex head, a self-tapping threaded shank, and a sharp cutting tip. Combining the fastening advantages of a hex wrench with the convenience of self-tapping installation (which requires no pre-tapping), they are the mainstream choice for heavy-duty fastening in the fields of construction, sheet metal, and steel structures.

The core feature of this product is its regular hexagonal external head. Unlike Phillips or slotted screws, the six-sided uniform force distribution structure allows for compatibility with open-end wrenches, sockets, and electric impact wrenches. Its 60° multi-angle engagement provides strong adaptability in tight working spaces and high torque-bearing capacity, ensuring that the fastener is not easily stripped or rounded during tightening, while offering excellent vibration resistance and anti-loosening performance. The head is available in two main styles: the standard hex head and the integrated hex flange head.
